Hi lover, I’m Rachel. I’m 26 years old and have been traveling throughout the country photographing people in their act of choosing each other as a career for the past 8. I have the utmost privilege to be a full time destination wedding and editorial photographer, offering a hybrid of digital and 120mm/35mm film photo imagery based in Laguna Beach, CA. I fly someplace new most weekends of my life to photograph the marriages of couples I really am so proud to say are kindred to me and treat me like an old friend. In 2022 I boarded over 60 flights for weddings… which probably sounds nuts but for me traveling consistently and constantly meeting new people is the most fulfilling, fun as shit way to be spending my twenties.
I feel so insanely lucky to have found my calling at 18 during my senior year of high school and to be living out this dream now every single day surrounded by the most chillingly beautiful human beings and their lives. I’m an easy traveller and there isn’t a place I wouldn’t leap at the opportunity to explore with my people…or share with you if that’s your thing and you’d be down to have me along to create for you.
If any of my work has spoken to you I want to thank you from the deepest part of me, because you are looking straight into the guts of my innermost being. I approach this vocation with very specific intention: create freeze frames of life as you know it and offer you a tiny bit of what it feels like to be known and loved in tangible form, immortalized in pictures to hang onto the most powerful feelings. Even years from now, once the moment has passed and the poignant edges of the memory are worn smooth.
